Spring Forward | Fashion Meets Art: April 18th

Fashion and art join together to create a unique fundraising event to benefit The Parliament Arts Organization. Spring Forward is a celebration of community, emerging artists and fashion coming together for an evening of Spring inspiration! Local art will be paired with models styled from downtown merchants to reflect the artists’ vision within their pieces. To do this, The Parliament Arts Organization is bringing together area experts on art, fashion and photography, and collaborating with downtown merchants for one evening only, Friday, April 18, 2014.

This event will be hosted at The Bond Building and will include an art exhibit and runway presentation. A short film will be viewed, spotlighting the artists involved in the gallery show and models will walk the runway wearing Spring fashion and accessories.

Refreshments and catered food will be provided before the runway presentation. This event will also be the launch party for the 2014 Spring Forward Look Book, as well as the public’s first look at The Bond Building.

What is the “Spring Forward Look Book”?

The Spring Forward Look Book is a mini magazine featuring modeled garments or accessories paired with the complementing piece of local artwork for the Spring 2014 fashion season. The Look Book highlights participating Downtown York boutiques through original magazine-themed layouts for each.

Darren Jordan

We will be having a beer tasting at this event provided by the Beer Ace, as well as other refreshments from Flats Cafe.

Music for the evening will be a jazz band with Hayden Diener.

We hope you can join us for this one of a kind event!
