Show title: Artist/Poet

Show dates: April 6-May 14
Submissions due: March 18

Robert Frost said that poetry is when an emotion has found its thoughts and the thought has found words. Now it’s time for those words to find images.

For this upcoming show, we’re pairing artists with the poets who gather at our gallery. The artists will create art inspired by select works of the poet.

Artists will be selected for participation by submitting five images of previous work from their portfolios that represent the range of their body of work.

Please send the following information to Kate Harmon at kate@parliamentyork.org.

  • Full name, address, and phone number
  • Five portfolio images named as follows: First name Last name_Title of piece_Medium_Height x Width.jpg (Example: John Smith_Untitled_Mixed Media_10x14.jpg). We ask that all images are high-quality for marketing and promotional purposes. Credit will be given if images are used.
  • Artist statement that describes your submitted work.

Interested in being paired up with an artist? You need to let us know and send in the above information by Jan. 31.

Gallery Hours: Thursday - Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Opening reception: April 6 from 6-9 p.m.
